Come tradizione anche quest’anno arrivano puntuali le nominations degli Oscar, che per la 82esima edizione vedono superfavoriti  James Cameron con “Avatar“  e l’ex moglie Kathryn Bigelow con ‘The Hurt Locker’, che si aggiudicano rispettivamente ben 9 candidature con le loro pellicole. Alla cerimonia, che si terrà il prossimo 7 marzo al Kodak Theatre di Los Angeles e sarà presentata dagli attori Alec Baldwin e Steve Martin, sono in lizza per la statuetta di migliore attore protagonista Jeff Bridges con ‘Crazy Hearth’, George Clooney con ‘Up in the Air’, Colin Firth con ‘A Single Man’, Morgan Freeman con ‘Invictus’, e Jeremy Renner con ‘The Hurt Locker’.

 

Tra le migliori attrice protagoniste candidate c’è Sandra Bullock  con ‘The Blind Side’, Helen Mirren  con ‘The Last Station’, Carey Mulligan co ‘An Education’, Gabourey Sidibe con ‘Precious’ e Meryl Streep con ‘Julie & Julia’. E anche quest’anno l’Italia non è presente con nessuno film tra quelli stranieri, nonostante ‘Baaria’ di Tornatore era stato sussurrato come  tra i favoriti.
